I NEED SOME INFO ON INTREPID

Hi, I tried a later live CD of intrepid, and was wondering if anyone knows if something has changed in the sound settings.
I couldn't get it to work at all on one computer, but on another one? The sound seemed to come through the speakers, but when I ran orca it came through the PC speaker. Strange, that has never happened to me before.
