I'm disappointed to hear that you see the situation this way.

Reading your interpretation of the situation, I remain unconvinced that
you actually understand my position. So let me try again.

It is *not possible* procedurally for the DMB to take any action that
violates the CoC. Doing so is not within the remit of any team in
Ubuntu. The only way to interpret any policy is one that observes the
CoC. Therefore there cannot, by definition, be any conflict here with
the written policy. Either the written policy follows the CoC, or it is
invalid. This is what I meant by my assumption that respectfulness was
implied. Therefore I am not seeking to prevent the DMB from following
its written policy; only that the DMB continue following the CoC and
remain respectful to everyone.

Further, I am not preventing the board from doing anything. I remain in
favour of removing the absent members. I just ask that you do it
respectfully. I think it is a gross misrepresentation for you to frame
this as me "prevent"ing the board from doing anything. From my
perspective, I don't even disagree with the policy!

I remain astonished that this is something that others want to push back
on. The easiest thing to do would have been to just do it respectfully,
and from my perspective you're the one dragging this out.

You still have my support in making it happen. Just do it respectfully.
And please stop framing this as me blocking you. I maintain that I am
not, since all I'm asking for you to do differently is send some emails,
and you still achieve what we are both in favour of doing. Really: how
hard is this?
