Just so this doesn't get left on the floor...
We do need Mark's +1 to extend terms (and I think this is the right
thing to do here, for the CC too - we expire tomorrow and still have a
community vote to conduct), but I think a call for nominees can be
sent out now. Give me a nudge when you send out the email, I'll
cross-post it to fridge.ubuntu.com so it lands on planet.ubuntu.com
and make sure it gets into the Ubuntu Weekly Newsletter next week.

The expiration discussion is an important one to have, but
historically we've found that:
1. We have a problem with voter and nominee fatigue, spacing things
out 2 years helps
2. It's actually a fair amount of boring administrative work to run
one of these elections from nominations to finish (particularly when
you have to actively look for people to apply, which is common for
both TB and CC)
3. I don't think complete board/council turnover has ever happened, so
there have always been some incumbents able to manage the transition
(and new members get access historical to private list archives)
All that said, it may make sense for the CC and TB to expire on
alternating years so we don't have this chaos of
everyone-expiring-at-once that we have now.
