It is partially. (Several Ubuntu Xorg bugs that are upstream drivers
having bitrotted.) The problem is that Xorg has only a very small
number of people maintaining a huge and mouldering codebase, with a
group of intrepid young code warriors swords-a-swashbuckling, and one
old guy (Keith Packard) who remembers where all the bodies are buried
and why. There's distro participation, but strangely little.

But yes. Are these better tools in the repos? Do they work on Ubuntu?
Can they be proposed for the core distro?
