You know I hope they can pull this off.  Having a lightweight display
manager that support 3D OpenGL would be great, and would certainly
help to improve Ubuntu's performance on slower hardware.  Also, if
they can fix Unity's many issues then they might actually have
something here.  It was be a good idea if X.org was still there in the
event someone has a configuration that isn't supported by Wayland.
