In Belgium we have a few Usenet groups and web forums for local politics.
If a non-country of 11M inhabitants with a damp rag as former prime
minister has a few political mailing lists/newsgroups/forums, then I'm
sure that a country/collection of states with 30x as much inhabitants will
have some discussion lists too... :)

As a Linux user, I am a strong believer in copyright, copyleft, General
Public License, Creative Commons and such.
If I understand you correctly then republishing that article may be
considered theft. :)
