On my desktop Macs, like all my other PCs, I use IBM Model M "Clicky"
keyboards. Snag is, they don't have a Command key (AKA "" or "⌘"). So
I remap Ctrl to Command, meaning that all the normal Windows and Linux
keystrokes work - Ctrl-S, Ctrl-X/C/V etc. - and then I remap CapsLock
to Ctrl, which puts it back where the IBM PC and XT had it.

That's the only time I specifically get rid of CapsLock, though - but
generally I curse it far more often than I use it...
