Interesting. So the whole point of this group has been misunderstood by
almost everyone, it seems.

Anyone have a clue how such an email address is supposed to work?
I haven't seen one like that before.

I propose a new list to be created; "off-topic at lists.ubuntu.com".
Then there would be no confusion at all.
