    I get the feeling you're carrying this on perhaps because you have 
learned (by association with other geeks) to pray at the altar of 
pedantry :-]

    Are you really going to hold to the position: "if I read it in some 
dict entry, it must therefore be universally accepted fact" ?

    You always seemed to me to be at least slightly more open minded 
than that.
