What the author of the blog fails to acknowledge is that free (as in
coffee *and* free as in free/liberated) fonts, software, packages,
distros - rely on the community to better them.
<rant>
Railing out at the packager or the package-manager paradigm is a waste.
  The time it took to write that blog *should*, imnsho, have been spent
on developing a fix to this problem which, while real, affects a minute
portion of the community.

Then, being a good member of said community, the *fix* could have been
posted for others to use. No bitching, just a hero in the making.

The complaint that 'I'm not a developer, I can't do this' is hogwash. We
do what we need to when we need to. 10 yrs ago I wasn't a programmer.
I'd dabbled in dBase stuff back in the 80s, but would have never figured
myself a web designer or PHP coder. I'm both now. Why? Because I found
a *need* that I had to fill in my work.

Graphics layout are this troll's work. That's *his* need. *He* should
fill it and not blame the GNU/Linux community, a given disto or update
to same.
</rant>

Ok :)   I feel better.  *and* I'm down another 0.02 :))
