Indeed, yes. It has been repeatedly shown that unsupported out-of-tree
drivers in the archive just don't work well, since they are so tightly
coupled to the kernel ABI. Thus IMHO it would be much easier to
maintain and much more robust to just ship the modules in source form
and have DKMS build them locally when needed.
