I do the same. Except that the data files for my password manager also
reside in an encrypted volume. Doesn't hurt to double lock the door,
and it makes backups both easy and secure. Even a minimal amount of
information regarding which password manager I'm using or a rough
estimate of how many passwords I'm holding is unavailable to someone
who steals my backups.
