Debian Women has quite a head start on Ubuntu Women, this we do not
deny. We are deeply appreciative of the good work done by DW and
LinuxChix. One must understand that because of the lengthy history of
the two aforementioned groups, they are far more well-known than we are.
This, however, does not imply that the issue is any less prevalent in
either community, and it does not imply by any stretch that women are
any less welcome in Ubuntu.
One must also always remember, that the actions of a minority can quite
effectively ruin things for a majority. Sadly this is often the case,
and in my experience, definitely the case here.
