Indeed; much the same argument could be made about the sword* packages
("Matthew Henry's commentary on the whole bible").  Basically, so long as
none of these are installed by default on your system, its not doing you
harm any more than there are websites which you might like, but you're not
forced to read them.  Meanwhile, there are people who would be interested in
these (for anarchism, e.g. maybe students who only have good network access
at their school and want to download the package to read offline later as
part of a project on politics... I imagine one certainly wouldn't object to
someone installing gchempaint to use at home for a project for a science
class :)
