No, Jeff has simply explained, really well, the reason why this isn't a
big deal and encourage the thread to move on to more interesting issues.

The facts are these - we have multiple mailing lists, there is very
little restriction on what users can pour into them, however it makes
sense for us, as with any mailing list or forum community in existence,
to try to encourage users to stick to topics so that people who
subscribe to the lists can tell whether the list content is going to be
interesting or not to them.

So if you're interested in community chat, you can sign up here, if you
want support, you can sign up to -users. People interested in both can
follow both.
