I think the problem that started the subthread was that the discussion
started as community chat appropriate for sounder but turned into a
technical discussion about upgrade issues which rather belonged to
ubuntu-users, especially since the level of misinformation about this
particular issue on -users is high, and newbies are told "just replace
dapper with edgy and dist-upgrade" ALL the time
