In a way, this $100 laptop thing could spell the beginning of the end 
for Microsoft. If all of these LEDCs' emerging markets' first computing 
experience is on Linux, then it would make sense that they would want to 
remain on linux, in much the same way as MS users stay with MS. If 
Microsoft can't tap into these markets, and convert them to Windows 
based products, then their customer base will decrease, realative to the 
global market, potentially leading to MS' fall from dominance
