I'm cool with spreading different ideas, but the wording sounds more
like an attempt at putting all the "Legit Ubuntarians" into the
strictest of FOSS molds. Ubunarian Fundametalism, I like it . . . .
Actually I don't.
I want the technology to be as accessible and functional to the greatest
population imaginable. I want it freedom as in free play mp3, DVDs, 3D
games, or whatever. The strictest of these mindsets do not foster an
environment that is helpful in growing the Ubuntu community.
There is more room under the Ubuntu umbrella that just for those of the
legalistic FOSS mindset. I'm here because Ubuntu works for me better
than anything else, especially with the few proprietary/questionable
drivers that I use. As you push to conform Ubuntu to your mindset, in
whatever sphere of influence I'm able to invoke, I'll be an advocate to
the user that just wants it to work and doesn't know the meaning of FOSS
let alone understand the less tolerant in this camp.
