With interesting nits like how Skype may be better for say, someone
requiring encryption whereas many sip clients do not. This seems to be
far more of an important issue for someone like a human rights worker in
a non-friendly country that happens to still allow internet access (hey,
it happens).

A data security spec could be written in the same fashion with the
intent of educating users about how their data is transported over the
network. Many users still don't know that much of their AIM traffic is
just out there in the wind, etc.

Both issues are laudable, but I don't think a software distribution can
do much more than either turn into nagware or provide some documentation
or pointers to documentation on the topics. Interested users will
obviously be searching out this information themselves.

Thanks,
