Of course it is. We work to make free software widely useful, but we
respect people's right's to do what they need or want to do. Imagine
someone who is currently running Windows and who hears about free
software and goes to a web forum or mailing list to find out more. If
they were singled out and belittled for using Windows, they would leave
for good. Alternatively, if their questions are answered evenly and
openly there's a chance they might take the leap of faith to try free
software.

That's why we included Windows FOSS software on the Ubuntu Live CD's, so
that Windows users could get a taste of Ubuntu-ness without having to
leave their trusted environment :-)
