Hi all

I think this says it best. Microsoft has actually made great
improvements to the stability of Windows in the past few years. I was
impressed with XP and I'm sure I'll be impressed with Vista too. For
some people, XP is extremely reliable. Clearly, if you are visiting a
display of new technology, you are also seeing new drivers, and those
cause instability.

But our goal here is not to defeat Microsoft. It's to produce a great
free platform for the world, for those who want it. If we define
ourselves only in terms of beating someone else, we'll have no direction
when that's accomplished. So we should stay focused on the things we
believe are important, and do the best work we can, and let end-users
decide.
