keeping track of timezones..?

The program you want is called "tzwatch" and it's universe.

It's a *very* simple program that is very useful. First, you choose a
list of timezones that you want to know. Then you run it and it tells
you exactly what time it is in your list of timezones. I have a long
list of zones I care about so it goes like this:

0217 12:50 nozomi:~% tzwatch
Fri Feb 17 08:26:10 HST 2006   HST
Fri Feb 17 10:26:10 PST 2006   America/Los_Angeles
Fri Feb 17 13:26:11 EST 2006   America/New_York
Fri Feb 17 16:26:11 BRST 2006   America/Sao_Paulo
Fri Feb 17 18:26:11 UTC 2006   UTC-0
Fri Feb 17 18:26:11 GMT 2006   GMT
Fri Feb 17 19:26:11 CET 2006   Europe/Andorra
Sat Feb 18 05:26:11 EST 2006   Australia/Melbourne
Fri Feb 17 23:56:11 IST 2006   Asia/Calcutta
Sat Feb 18 02:26:12 CST 2006   Asia/Taipei
