In general I really like the idea of a post-install "realignment" script
that gets a computer into a state that's useful for a particularly
purpose. There is software out there that is not legal for a US user,
but is legal for a Norwegian user, and so it would be useful to have a
script for Norwegian users that sets everything up nicely for them.
It seems as though this project is crying out for a bit of community
love, to help the author reshape his ideas so that they are implemented
in a way that doesn't break people's systems. If the author is not
responsive to patches, then the right thing to do is create your own
branch of his work to gather together community improvements to the
work. If we need to tweak the underlying Ubuntu packages to make it
easier to touch up configs in a sane fashion, then please let me know
what you need.
Who wants to help? Someone will need to volunteer to be the coordinator.
