Virtual private servers. Cost effective?

These guys seem to use Virtuozzo for their VPS'. I haven't heard good things
about it, and would suggest, if you are going to get a VPS, that it be one
that is hosted on XEN (eg. www.vpsland.com) or UML (eg. www.linode.com).

That said, I have not used a VPS' powered by Virtuozzo, so others may have
differing opinions :-)

A VPS would easily be able to handle what you seem to want it to do (WWW
only), as long as we aren't talking slashdot.org measurements.

The VPS' I have, running everything from Debian thru to Gentoo, work great.
They work exactly how I want them too, no complaints.


And depending on how much you are using, you may be able to allow others to
use your box, for a fee, bringing costs down. (think www hosting)
