According a press release issued yesterday, Canonical has announced
that TaFusion Pioneer Linux will be based on Kubuntu (Dapper). The
press release is here:
   http://www.tapioneer.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=14

Their web site (www.tapioneer.com) has more details on that distro
available in 800+ retail computer stores in the US and in Canada
according to their web site (I personally I never seen it in a store).
Some paid version seems to come with Crossover office, and obviously
target potential Window switchers, a fact also briefly mentioned in
the press release (where Microsoft Office is mentioned not by name,
but by this description: "the most popular desktop Office suite")

They will have a free version for use by individuals, PioneerFREE,
available on their web site ("coming soon" according to their
download page)
