FOSS involvement on non-IT resumes/CVs?

Just revamping my resume so I can find work I'm not bored with, and
wondering if/how people represent the volunteer work they do for
Ubuntu/Linux/other Free/Open projects, if they're not actually employed in
some IT field.

I know most of you *are* also employed in IT,
but there's a few other amateurs around - does Ubuntu appear on your resumes?
