Definitely?  I'd say it's very unlikely that the average person who
hasn't tried Linux yet has ever heard of Distrowatch.  Because of
grassroots efforts like this, though, he's heard of Firefox.

Although I guess since they're largely run by contributors, they're more
astroturf than grassroots, but still; terms blur in the FOSS world.
