That's something the Linux detractrors often forget.  Linux get
(rightfully, most of the time) bashed for it's shortcomings, but people
like to sweep their favorite OS's shortcomings under the rug.  Just like
we Linux zealots do.

When something break in Windows, and it does, the typical user is stuck
calling a professionnal or a "fiddler".  When something break in Linux,
and it does, the typical user is stuck calling a professionnal or a
"fiddler".  From there on, how the breakage get fixed (usage of CLI or
not) is purely an academic question to this typical user.  You could
argue either way about the frequency of breakage on various platform,
but unless you can provide some solid data point (remember, your
anecdotes != data), I will not even bother to respond.
