Serial mouse

ROFL.  After having a bit of an argument on exactly the same
matter half a year ago regarding serial mice support in 
(err... it's an analogy, not a plug :) ALT Linux 3.0 Compact
I'm wondering if it's the biggest kudzu privilege these days,
Bringing Ancient Mice Up. :)

Seriously though, it's BeOS who stared to trade in universal
hardware compatibility for actual hardware compatibility,
given quite limited developer resources.  Maybe it's OK?
