tiny mention of Ubuntu in blog entry

While the article itself is not that interesting for the Ubuntu crowd
(the Microsoft's Eiger project to provide a $150 version of Windows
for older computing hardware), this sentence in the article is
interesting:
"Yes, such machines can run Ubuntu Linux, which is free."
So it seems more and more references in online media associate Ubuntu
as one of the front-runner Linux distro out there for Joe User, and is
used in this context as: Ubuntu == Linux.
6 month ago, that blog entry maybe would have used Fedora as an
example; 1 year ago, Mandrake? 2-3 years ago, Red Hat Linux?
I think it's another example of the increading importance and
popularity of Ubuntu nowadays compared to other Linux distro. Which
is also quite impressive considering for how long Ubuntu has been
available to the public.
