Permissions, perahaps? Cant read vfat partition...

You would need to add an appropriate line to /etc/fstab file.

On my system this looks something like this:

"/dev/hda1	/media/win98	vfat	ro,user,noauto	0	0"

try to add this to that file, than log out and log in again and retry.

Let me know if this worked.
