Seconded.

At least on my iBook, both Cmd and Alt keys send the same keycodes which
afaict are associated to LeftMeta and LeftAlt. The Fn-modified variants
send RightMeta (not very useful) and RightAlt (very useful). 

In particular, I used RightAlt as the Compose key so I can type non-
ascii letters with a us or dvorak layout. But they are also very useful
for people who do not do crazy things like that, as Marting pointed out.

Here it's numpad-enter. Which is probably very useful to people who are
a lot into numpad usage, but useless to me.
