Ubuntu development environment" section, where I express similar worries
and propose parts of a solution. ]

Agreed! And in that case, you can run a full standard Ubuntu development
environment on your phone as a container/chroot/whatever.

That's right; but it should not be done in the main snappy
production/runtime environment, but rather in a development environment
running on snappy.
