When you create a container, you specify the image to use as the 
template and then the container name.  If you do not specify a container 
name, a random name will be used instead.

So, to create a container based on Ubuntu 16.10 named foobar, you would run:

$ lxc launch ubuntu:yakkety foobar

The file to be edited is /etc/sudoers, and can be edited using your 
favorite text editor.  Just start the command with:

$ lxc exec foobar -- sudo

and finish the line with your favorite editor plus the path /etc/sudoers.
