Well, personally I think that would be nice but of course would need further
discussing. But I also know that there are a lot people (including you) that
are happy with the situation right now so I don't expect any change on this.
I have absolutely no problem to respect that but I hope that you can also respect
my work because this is the way I contribute to Ubuntu.

This is a very very interesting question. Again I'll tell you a story from the past.
When I started contributing Andrea Veri was (officially) my mentor. It took me
9 (!) hours to do my first merge (ok, there were breaks and he didn't reply always
after 1-2 minutes) but what I want to say is that it took a very long time
and then I had the feeling: "I'm an idiot, I just did 1 merge and stole him so
many hours (it wasn't that easy with me) where he could have done a lot other
(more useful) work.

I want to answer with a counterquestion:
Let's ignore that I apply for MOTU now. I have over 270 sponsored uploads.
Why did you never tell me that I should stop contributing to ubuntu? The MOTU's
that reviewed and uploaded my stuff could have done more (important) work at their own.

Again, this is the way I (want to) contribute to ubuntu and no one told me to
stop it. But if you insist on it now I have to problem to quit ubuntu development.
