I have already said I will mirror Ubuntu policy, if possible, ONCE an
OPEN discussion will make a common decision to emerge.

As it doesn't seem that the sentence "Before uploading all possible
clashes should be 100% dealt with" is valid as an universal rule,
considering this case, I cannot consider unbiased the other statement:
"The race for inclusion in both Debian and Ubuntu is totally unnecessary".

IMHO, and in my point of view, there is no race at all. I am just
distributing the package with other distros as well (I am planning to
have packages for all the major distros by 0.8.8 version, that is, in
about a month), and debian packages was ready long before I submitted
any package to Ubuntu. I devoted a great deal of effort and time to
Ubuntu, but I cannot dedicate everything to it. When a solution will be
sorted out, if Falcon (language) package will still be able to be
included in Ubuntu, then, in that case, it will be my first commitment
to avoid any distress to the two communities by uniforming the packages.
But as Falcon is currently *not* cleared for inclusion in Ubuntu, (nor
in Debian), how can someone talk of a "race" for inclusion? -- you mean
it is not right to submit packages which complain other distro policies,
rules and name clashes because there is a name clash in one of them? --
it seems somehow a biased opinion.

Have a nice day too,
Giancarlo Niccolai.
