I had to spend half an hour fixing my mail client again, just to reply to this
mail, but here it comes :D
On Friday 19 December 2008 01:55:15 you wrote:

*attest*
Jonathan did, does, probably always will do perfect work. I think he reviewed
~60% of the KDE 4.1.80 (beta1 of 4.2 that is) packaging.
Now I probably have to explain... at Kubuntu we have a special task force
called Kubuntu Ninjas. Those fellows update the KDE core packaging (+extra
applications that are bound to the KDE release schedule) upon each KDE
release. Since this is a community effort it is necessary to coordinate the
workforce (maybe even redistribute?) and of course review the work of all
contributors.
Therefore the coordinator also is the last point of QA and thus needs to be
particularly precise.
Really, Jonathan has proven to be very precise. He resolved pretty much all
flaws in the packages, all the major ones anyway. So I think I would even
support a core-dev application ;-)
Anyway, I am drifting off topic again... so let me make it short.
Jonathan
* is working really hard
* is very trustworthy
* knows a good deal about packaging
* always wants to learn new stuff (I would go as far as saying he assimilates
everything, so he must be a Borg... would also have been a sensible reason not
to go to UDS ;-)
In addition to that Kubuntu needs him, KDE needs him, Ubuntu needs him and the
archives do as well.
+5k from me.
Also. Thank you Jonathan!
regards,
Harald
