I'll reply to your other email, but 1.7.1RC2 is current (1.7.1 final is
not yet out) and is now in the testing PPA; Blake will send out an
announcement for testing later.

If by that you mean that problems in 1.7.0 will only be fixed in
upcoming 1.7.x releases, then yes, that's true.
