Serious Problem Encountered

Try opening up a terminal and entering
sudo apt-get update
Does it fix it ?
If not try moving /renaming the file that is mentioned in the error
report (the /var/lib/apt/lists/ one) and executing
sudo apt-get update
again.
This should fix it.

Basically the list locally stored informing which apps are available on
the repo is corrupted for some reason.
