Hello Barry,

thanks for your prompt reply.

the first attempt was on the lubuntu-14.10-desktop-i386, the error
message pop-up.

the second attempt was on the ubuntu-14.04.1-amd64, the same error
message pop-up.

my OS is 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Pls find the attached error
message & the OS print screen.

i wish to run the SPDLib, however been told to by the developer that i
need to install VirtualBox in order to run the application on my Windows
system (then i followed the installation instruction on website
http://spectraldifferences.wordpress.com/2014/09/24/installing-rsgislib-on-windows-through-a-virtual-machine/).

So, after i downloaded and double-clicked to install the lubuntu, the
error message pop-up. So i tried on the ubuntu, then the same issue
happened again.

Any idea what wrong with that?

Hi Sek-Aun,

Can you please give the details of how you are trying to install the
Ubuntu file? For example,


What Operating System are you currently using to download the file?
What actions are you then doing with the file in order to install Ubuntu?
What is the spec of the computer that you are trying to install Ubuntu
on to?

The more details that you can give, the better the chance of us being
able to help.
