I use a Epson L355, on a network, without a problem...

Did you install iscan?

Hi guys!  I'm running Lubuntu stable version.  I can print using my Epson
L210 just fine after installing the driver provided by Epson.  But I can't
scan.

Has anyone had success with this issue?

Thank you for your time!

I second iscan. I have a WorkForce 645 (that replaced an earlier Epson WF) I use on my home network. iscan worked for both for years. Iscan is actually really cool software in my opinion. You should try it. This is a pdf about it: http://support.epson.ru/upload/library_file/11/scanner_linux.pdf
I know the iscan-data pkg must be installed prior to the installion of iscan itself. I never had any trouble with it, but if you do, this may be helpful: http://alicious.com/iscan-linux-networked-epson/
