How to add sound on a C-Media CMI8738

Hi there,
I'm new to the list and this is my contribution :I have a desktop PC and have installed Lubuntu, but no sound on it.
This is how I make it work :After some googling, I find that my device was a 13f6:0111(I found this using the "lspci -vvnn" command)
I found this thread : https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=43564
But /etc/modprobe.conf doesn't exist. It's now /etc/modprobe.d/alsa_base.confSo I add "options snd-intel8x0 ac97_quirk=1" in it and after a reboot it's working.
