LXQt: is a clipboard manager currently needed?

Regular Lubuntu remembers content copied even after an application is
closed and that content can be pasted into another application. See

I think that doesn't happen in the LXQt desktop as of now. So users who
expect at least the last copied content to be saved after the source
application is closed may need a clipboard manager. Comments?
I've been using xfce4-clipman when using the Openbox session of Lubuntu.
Does anyone have a qt alternative to suggest?
