restart of lightdm gives blank screen - solved

After I sent this my husband ask what I had installed Friday 
as it worked fine until then and I realized I had installed 
Teamviewer 10 to test to see if I wanted to upgrade work 
machines. Sure enough I removed Teamviewer 10 and the 
problem is cured.
