I have successfully upgraded 4 systems connected via ethernet to my DSL
modem, from 12.10 to 13.04. These were all upgrades (not fresh
installs). I did not have do do anything special with my Internet
connection.
Two of the 4 upgrades were Lubuntu. The other two were Kubuntu and
UbuntuStudio.
One of the Lubuntu upgrades was on a 933 megahertz, 512 Meg. RAM system.
All of the machines I tried a fresh install on, depend on wireless.
