Configure where Lubuntu pop up notifications appear

Not knowing about your specific Thunderbird issue, however you can
configure where Lubuntu pop up notifications appear (I make them
appear at the bottom right, which is the place I think they should
appear in the first place), by running:

xfce4-notifyd-config
