I see their adoption as a great step forward in Lubuntu.  The only issue
with them adopting the current version could be bad publicity of their
launch doesn't go well, especially if support is dropped after 9 months.
The advantage to waiting for a LTS, would be stability, and less of a risk
of leaving a bad taste in users' mouths if there are major bugs etc.

What about urging people to upgrade when the time comes for major
distribution upgrades? Or publicizing dedicated LTS support for the April
launch and making that an incentive to upgrade?
