R statistics

Hi all,

Why is still R version 2.15.2 in the repositories? Today version 3.0.1 is
available and I tried to download and install it from
http://cran.rstudio.com/ . However, I do not get the same functionality as
with the similar version installed under Microsoft Windows, so I presently
run R under Wine.

I also want to use R with Rstudio, but Rstudio does not run well under
Wine. R studio has a true Debian Linux version, but presupposes a properly
installed LInux version of R.

R versions 2.15.2 and 3.0.1 are really significantly different, and I hope
Lubuntu is also meant for the scientific world.
