Console error in Saucy

Hi Lars,

I've asked on the bug channel

(22:37:52) maxb: You can check which binary package owns a given file like
this:
(22:37:54) maxb: dpkg -S /etc/update-motd.d/90-updates-available
(22:38:10) Ampelbein: phillw: I agree, update-notifier. It should check the
files existence before trying to read them.

But, as update-notifier should check, may be against that and with the
details of the dpkg -S check returns in the report.
