I get the impression there isn't but I'm asking just in case I missed
something. The man page doesn't provide any information on this.

There is no way to have scrot capture the cursor. I use mtPaint (already
included in a default Lubuntu install) to capture menu selections and
the like. In mtPaint, go to File --> Actions --> Time Delayed
Screenshot. The only way I know of to have a screenshot include the
cursor in Lubuntu is to install something extra.

I've found Shutter to be the best (no major foreign dependancies and
feature-rich) for what it sounds like you want to do. It's in the
repositories (sudo apt-get install shutter), but also has PPAs for even
more up-to-datedness. Check out their website for options, tutorials and
